Social Retailing® a solution IconNicholson developed to help designer Nanette Lepore reach out to the youth market, was featured today on Good Morning America's segment Hot Tech for Hot Styles. GMA technology contributor, Becky Worley, described Social Retailing® as a "very cool technology that points to the future of the retail experience." By integrating Web 2.0 into the retail store, the system allows in-store shoppers to virtually connect with anyone, anywhere in the world to receive real-time shopping feedback. Social Retailing® was piloted at Bloomingdale's and selected by Time Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of 2007.

IconNicholson Sweeps Up Three Out of the Eleven Gold Omni Awards
IconNicholson is the only agency to have won three Gold Omnis out of the eleven awarded in the Spring 2008 Omni Intermedia Awards Competition. Having recently received an Effie Award and Webby Honoree status, IconNicholson is pleased to add a Gold Omni to its growing list of accolades for its paint consumer site for Valspar, a 200-year old, $3 billion dollar corporation. In the External Communications category, IconNicholson grabbed a Gold Omni for the recruiting site for McKinsey & Company, the global management consulting firm to 70 percent of Fortune Magazine's most admired companies. The third award was in honor of the agency's innovative Social Retailing® solution, which was developed for renowned fashion designer Nanette Lepore, premiered at Bloomingdale's and selected by TIME Magazine as one of the Best Inventions of 2007.

IconNicholson's SVP of Client Relations, Joseph Olewitz, chaired the track on Digital Innovation in Social Media at the 2008 Luxury Interactive in New York. Olewitz emphasized that with the growing proportion of user-generated brand content, brands must seek innovative ways to participate in the digital conversation and engage their customers. Olewitz presented IconNicholson's Social Retailing®, the first solution to virtually connect retail shoppers with their social networks so that they can get real-time feedback in a store from anyone, anywhere in the world. The event attracted brands such as Gucci, Bvlgari, Conrad Hotels, Frette, Ritz Carlton, Estee Lauder, Sony, IBM, Lacoste and Coach.
